This pattern 1826 eagle breast plate has a nice dark patina with a hint of green on its face. The details of the eagle are excellent and there are no major dings or dents to the edge or face.

The reverse has 99% of the lead fill and both iron hooks. Both hooks are bent and one is slightly broken.

This plate was meant for use on the sling of the cartridge box.

A very attractive looking relic plate.
