CS 12 lb., 4.52 inch spherical half shell. Visible in the tan matrix are pistol and musket balls, which Confederate artillery filled into shells, making it a case-shot projectile. This shell would have used a copy of a Bormann time fuse. No sign of a bursting charge occurring.
Shell was recovered from Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
Exterior of shell has moderate pitting. Great for display.
