Recovered 75 years ago at Antietam; exact location of recovery unknown. Relic is in very good condition, with light surface rust and pitting, never cleaned. Seam from mold is visible around the center of the shot. Mold seam is characteristic of Confederate solid shots; further proof of Confederate use is the absence of Union 6 pound batteries at Antietam.
