Relic conditioned bayonet is rusted and pitted throughout. Locking ring is present but frozen. “US” stamping is not visible.
Black leather scabbard has frog attached by stitching and two copper rivets. Frog is worn with surface finish loss. The body of the scabbard is complete with the brass finial. Scabbard body shows heavy crazing with some surface finish loss but the rear seam is tight. Finial has a dark patina and a severe dent at center that COULD have been caused by a bullet or shell fragment. No way to know for sure but the dent does have the look of an impact scar.
