This model-1861 Springfield pattern rifle musket was recovered at Bank's Ford, VA, in 1979. The barrel, lock plate (complete with all components) and hammer, all three barrel bands, and nose cap remain. Ramrod is missing; trigger guard assembly not present, either. Relic condition, but overall solid with some surface rust flakes.
