This is a beautiful excavated SNY belt plate. Pattern 1839 belt buckle with puppy-paw hooks. Beautiful brown face with the letters “SNY” boldly standing out. Complete edge all the way around and complete lead on back. A few small dents on the rim have made the edge uneven but definitely do not detract from the “look” of this plate. Dug in Fredericksburg, VA.
