Excavated M-1855 bayonet for a .58 caliber rifle musket. Dug in 1980s in a trash pit of a Union camp near Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is in rusty “dug” condition and is missing about 6” of blade. This bayonet exhibits some deep pitting and should be recoated. A nice relic.    [JET]
