Excavated P-1853 bayonet for a .577 caliber Enfield rifle. Dug in early 1966 ina trash pit in the Union camps at Stoneman’s Switch. This is in rusty “dug” condition has some heavy pitting in the metal. There is no locking ring. A nice relic from a historic location.  [JET]
