This shell was once part of the DuBose Collection of Atlanta, Georgia. There is little ground action, but more of the ground action is on one side than the other. The shell was possibly lightly cleaned in the past. The shell is lightly shellacked with very evenly distributed rust. The projectile could be cleaned to a very smooth surface with a tap hammer. The shell is labeled number “12” from the DuBose Collection inventory. [WS]
