This shell was once part of the DuBose Collection of Atlanta, Georgia. The shell is labeled number “51” from the DuBose Collection inventory.

The rust is evenly distributed, and the projectile has never been cleaned. It has been lightly varnished. The shell could be cleaned with a tap hammer. There is light pitting on the surface. [WS]
