An early pattern Hotchkiss shell with no flame grooves cut into the projectile. Also, there is no Hotchkiss patent information on the bottom. Sans the Hotchkiss fuse and the lead sabot is still intact. It has been cleaned at surface action and has a nice, smooth body.   [ws]
