6th CORPS BADGE

$495.00

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 883-45

Recovered in the greater Richmond, VA area. Brass 6th corps badge has a darkened patina. Reverse originally featured a soldered attachment hook and pin, but all that is present is the base that would hold the pin. This was for attaching badge to the soldier’s hat or left side of the uniform. This avoided confusion on the battlefield as a soldier could quickly be identified. Corps badges became a great source of regimental pride to the men who wore them.

Excellent collectible.

Measures 1” across x 1” high.     [SM]
