3rd CORPS BADGE

$495.00

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 883-46

Recovered in the greater Richmond, VA area. Brass 3rd corps badge has a darkened patina. Reverse shows where two attachment hooks had been soldered on but are no longer present. These were for attaching to the soldier’s hat or left side of the uniform. This avoided confusion on the battlefield as a soldier could quickly be identified. Corps badges became a great source of regimental pride to the men who wore them.

This badge has a very small crack present and the tip of one corner is slightly broken off.

Excellent collectible.

Measures 1 ¼” across x 1 ¾” high.     [SM]
