Fired from a 3.4 inch caliber Rifled Boat Howitzer. At the tip of this projectile is a small brass pin, purpose unknown. Projectile has four ribs arranged vertically around the shell’s body. Sans the lead sabot. Cleaned and varnished, light areas of pitting. Found in the greater Richmond, VA area. [ws]
