Iron Sawyer canister with some original lead canister balls still inside. This round was abandoned by Union artillery forces at Port Hudson. The top had intentionally been squashed to prevent use of the round by Confederates. This relic shows moderate to heavy surface rust and the outside has been coated in shellac.  [jt]
