There were two different factory conversions of this weapon, one with an ejector and one without. This example is without the ejector.
The weapon is complete minus the trigger, triggerguard and grips. The cylinder is six-shot and turns freely. The old loading lever is present and moves. The barrel meas. approx. 8.00 inches long and is .45 caliber. The metal surfaces are dark and pitted throughout. There is also some light rust here and there. The pitting obscures any markings. Hammer is frozen in the down position.
Relic was recovered in southwestern Montana. [AD]
