Excavated Schenkl artillery shell fuse.  Fired brass fuse. Much of the patent information is still visible. Nice green patina with some dirt remaining in threads. Recovered from Spanish Fort, Alabama in the early 1970s by E. Maurice Tiller, Jr.  Fired fuse in good condition.   [jet]
