This relic M3 fighting knife is complete except for the scabbard and handle. The blade, tang, pommel and guard are all present.
The surface of the item is dark and pitted but the markings “US M3” is visible just below the guard at the top of the blade. There is another marking next to this but it is unreadable. Point has very small chip and there is some scattered heavy pitting over the blade surface.
Blade edge has small half inch section of missing material and the top edge has a 1.50 inch area of corrosion. The raised center line running down the length of the blade is clearly visible.
With the item is a page printed from a computer showing pictures of the item as displayed by a previous seller. This relates that the item has a verbal provenance as coming from the Ardennes Forest. [ad]
