$175.00 SOLD
Originally $225.00

Item Code: 889-159

This is an excavated solid cast “CSA” infantry button as used by the Confederacy.  Coat size. Face exhibits a lot of ground action with the large roman “CSA” in the center. The cast shank is broken. The central letters look to have been polished down and darkened to make them stand out from the pitted back ground. An honest dug example of a scarce Confederate button.  Recovery location is listed as Mechanicsville, Virginia.  [jet]
