Cast brass, two-piece tongue and wreath buckle measures 3 1/8” long x 2” high with the tongue that exhibits a “CS” in raised letters. Accompanying well-worn wreath with its laurel border which perfectly fits the tongue. Both wreath and tongue brass belt loops have slight distortion. Buckle has no cracks or weak areas and wears a rich, golden-copper toned patina with few dark age spots. Some green verdigris is present on the reverse. No maker’s marks visible. An excellent addition to a C.S. collection. [sm]
