.54 CALIBER STARR CARBINE BULLET BY J&D

$35.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 883-421

Scarce bullet for the Starr carbine that was made by Johnston & Dow. While this bullet has a similar profile to Poultney’s bullet used in Smith and Gallager cartridges, it is different. Johnston & Dow made “waterproof & combustible” cartridges for the Starr weapons. This specimen is excavated, in very good condition, and has a beautiful patina. See “Round Ball to Rimfire”, Part Two, page 256-257 for more information on this bullet. [jet]
