This Colt revolver is in relic condition but is complete except for the grips.
The revolver bears serial #138299 showing the weapon was produced in late 1863. The serial number is clear on the brass of the triggerguard and enough of the number can be made out on the frame and grip to see that the numbers match.
Cylinder has all of the original nipples and turns freely. Hammer also moves as does trigger.
Top of barrel has some readable sections of the marking.
The word “COLT”S…” can be made out on the left side of the frame.
Metal surfaces have a nice dark surface patina with light surface rust in crevices.
Relic was recovered outside of El Paso, Texas. [ad]
