Here is a piece of wood containing a fired Civil War bullet, the remains of a tree that was in the line of fire during the Battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia.  The piece measures about 2 ½” long by 1 ½” at its widest point. The bullet is encased within the wood which was split so that the two halves can be opened to expose the bullet. The pieces of wood are stable.  A great relic from the Confederate victory at Chancellorsville.  [jet]
