Here is a small piece of wood containing a fired Civil War bullet, the remains of a tree that was in the line of fire during the Battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia.  The piece measures about 2 ¼” long by 1 ¼” at its widest point. The bullet is well encased within the wood with a good portion of the bullet visible. The piece of wood is stable and has been coated.  A great relic from the Confederate victory at Chancellorsville.  [jet]
