RELIC MODEL 1851 NCO SWORD BELT PLATE FROM RICHMOND

$145.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: R22791

Excavated Civil War era non-commissioned officer’s belt buckle. Cast brass eagle buckle with all of the applied German silver wreath missing. This has the narrow ½ inch wide hook on back as well as a benchmark “837”. The belt loop attached to the side is cracked and has been bent downward. The detail of the face and eagle remains good. This buckle was completely over cleaned long ago after its recovery; it has again darkened somewhat to a mellow bronze color overall. Recovered at Halltown, West Virginia.  [jet]
