CONFEDERATE TWO PIECE SWORD BELT PLATE

$2,350.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1000-1323

An excavated Confederate officer’s belt buckle. Cast brass buckle created in two pieces; a tongue and a wreath.  The "CS" at center on tongue stands out well.  Nice green patina. Both belt loops retain their shape without being “pulled”.  The opposing belt loops are not of the same style and pieces are difficult to separate.  Patina matches well but may be a “marriage”.   Recovered in central Virginia.   [jet]
