This relic Richmond carbine is an unusual find – it still has the brass cap held in place with the hammer, and loaded shot remains in the barrel. Another unique feature of this relic is part of the wooden stock remains, with brass butt plate attached. Also present are the ramrod, band, sling loop, brass nose cap, trigger guard with trigger, plate and screws. Iron items show moderate surface rust and pitting. Brass parts show oxidation and verdigris. Items have been cleaned and coated.
Parts are mounted on wooden board with dark colored wire. Board measures 45” long by 7” wide.
This is a great relic ready to display. [sl]
