Excavated iron lockplate from a Model 1861 rifle musket. Lockplate with hammer and all components. Relic is rusty and has not been preserved, but is in stable condition. Mainspring and all inner parts are present. Mainspring is broken and may be the reason this was discarded. Good detail remains on inner parts. [jet]
