Complete (single) shoulder scale for enlistedman.  Stamped brass epaulette supposed to protect against sword blows. Something caused a large dent to the end of the crescent and has split the top and bottom portions at the seam.  A complete Civil War epaulette excavated from the Winter camps on Stafford Heights across from Fredericksburg, VA.   [jet]
