NEW AUSTRIAN BULLET

$75.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 33-660

This is the .58 caliber New Austrian pattern bullet. It features two very deep grooves and a solid base.  Developed in Austria for the Lorenz rifle.  Following a European design, these were produced by the state of North Carolina for its troops.

Upon firing, the segments were compressed which forced the thin edges of each segment into the rifling.  This is a perfect example of this type of bullet with nice patina.  [jet]
