RELIC 6-PDR SOLID SHOT STRAPPED TO SABOT

$875.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 696-84

This is a very nice piece.  Iron body is in exceptional condition for a “dug” item. Iron is smooth. Tin straps remain solid and are still attached to the original wood sabot. The sabot shows some shrinkage and loss but is otherwise good. Coated to preserve. Recovered out of the Oconee River at Milledgeville.

An excellent example of a small cannon ball.  [jet]
