This is an excavated specimen and this common size was for the 3” Ordnance rifle. This shell was fired and retains its lead sabot and brass percussion fuse. The fuse anvil still unscrews. The lead band shows good rifling marks. No patent info cast into the base cup.  Coated.  Unknown recovery location.    [jet]
