$295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 172-5343

Well used cap box with old paper label attached with period ink inscription that reads “CAP BOX FOR MUSKET CIVIL WAR WINCHESTER.”

Outer flap has some light crazing with edge folds that hug the box body. Latch tab is attached to the underside of the flap and though worn is solid.

Inner flap has both ears and a smooth surface with light dirt.

Interior is missing the lamb’s wool and pick.

The body of the box itself is excellent and has the brass finial at bottom.

Back has both belt loops but they are crazed and slightly curled. Loops are sewn only with no rivets. Back shows a little more surface dirt than the front.    [ad]
