Here is an original 4.52” solid shot. Used by both sides. Shot rounds such as this were usually fired to ricochet from one target to another causing extensive damage. This ball is fairly smooth with light pitting. It has been painted black. Was fired from a 12-pounder smooth bore gun. [jet]
