Relic section of brass, militia sword scabbard and measures approximately 9” long. This is the end (or drag) portion of the scabbard. Brass has smooth brown patina. Marked in white paint, “Antietam Battlefield / 6th Corps Camp / Where Lincoln reviewed the troops after the battle”.

Part of an old collection of Antietam Battlefield relics. Original collector/painter is unknown. All pieces from this group feature similar identifications done in a fine script with white paint.  [jet]
