RELIC 10-PDR PARROTT “GROUND BURST” FRAGMENTS FROM ANTIETAM

$150.00 SOLD
Originally $250.00

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 965-06

This consists of 11 separate pieces of a 10-pounder, 3” Parrott artillery shell. These pieces constitute about half of the shell…NOT the whole shell. Most notably the base is missing. This was recovered from the site of the Battle of Antietam in Maryland. Interestingly, this Parrott shell was fused with a Schenkl percussion fuse. All pieces have been cleaned and coated.  [jet]
