This is an excavated side knife in very good “relic” condition. Measures almost 20” long. Blade is 14” long x 1 ¾” wide with clipped point. Hanging on the long, full tang is a nice hand-forged cross guard.
An old tag on blade reads “CS Bowie knife / made from file / 7 Day fighting / N. Warriner”. Knife is in relic condition but remains completely solid and stable. Was coated, but long ago.
This is a perfect example of a Civil War fighting knife. [jet]
