This group includes a .44 caliber round ball, a .69 caliber round ball, and a .58 caliber minie ball. All with little patina and typical of early pickups. A paper label written in pencil reads “Bullets that was fired at Vicksburg Miss and picked up on Battlefield 186[4](?) F.H. Jordan”.  Tag is split at fold.

A Frank H. Jordan from Lisbon, Illinois, enlisted on July 18, 1862 as a Sergeant. On September 8 he mustered into Company E, 91st Illinois infantry. He rose to the rank of captain by the end of 1863. He was Mustered Out on July 12, 1865 at Mobile, Alabama.  [jet]
