The face of this plate has a wonderful even dark patina. And the details of the eagle are strong.
Reverse has 98% of the lead fill with small amounts of surface pitting. Both loops have rusted off. Back center is stamped “W. H. SMITH / BROOKLYN” in two lines.
Very nice dug example. Place of recovery is not known. [ad]
