EXCAVATED BREECH BLOCK AND LEVER FROM SHARPS CARBINE OR RIFLE

$75.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1000-2236

This item is the sliding breech block from a Sharps carbine or rifle. Attached to the bottom of the block is the lever / trigger guard. This “dug” relic and shows pitting but retains decent detail. This looks to have been cleaned by electrolysis, but was never coated with anything. Iron remains stable.

Unknown recovery location.  You have to wonder how a soldier could lose this most important piece of his weapon.   [jet]
