These are two partial plates. The US belt plate is missing the lead backing but has its hooks intact. The eagle breast plate is broken into two pieces and missing its hooks but the lead is intact. The original digger's typed tag reads "Belt Buckle & Cartridge Box Plate found in Winter Campsite - Falmouth, Va. May 1973."
