Iron body with an iron sabot in unfired condition. The body has light scattered pitting as does the sabot. Bottom of base has the typical lathe dimple as found on Rebel shells. No fuse is present. Rust has been removed and the surface has been stabilized and sealed. The item is ready for display in any Antietam or general Civil War collection.
