Set of original enlisted man's shoulder scales as worn by the U.S. Marines in the Civil War. The Marine Corps scales are similar to those of the U.S. Army except they were larger in size and had a fringe plate. This pair is of multi-piece construction and measures 4 7/8 inches wide at the widest point. This set is missing the fringe plates but does come with the turnbuckles.  [ad]
