Hat is made of pressed black felt and is in good condition.

Neither one of these is very noticeable. Other than that the exterior of the hat is in good condition. The edge of the brim has two parallel lines of stitching. Around the base of the crown is an original cavalry hat cord while at center front of the crown is a pair of stamped brass crossed sabers.
