US NAVAL LIEUTENANT SHOULDER STRAPS

$695.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 763-02

Three early Civil War shoulder straps, two matched and complete, one with outer bullion border only. The matched straps feature bullion outer border, with jaceron inner & outer trim. Black velvet inner field with bullion lieutenant’s anchor. Burlap undersides on both, with velvet folded under. The outer border of one the matched anchor straps is missing its bullion in one corner, one half inch each way. Otherwise these matching straps are near fine, and highly attractive. The detached single strap is mounted on a cut patch of black uniform coat wool, and is missing its inner field and insignia, with some loose bullion strands. In all, an attractive naval grouping, the anchor straps especially. Mounted in black Riker box measuring 6.25 x 825”. Former naval lieutenants take note.
