PAIR OF NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER'S SHOULDER SCALES

$165.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 450-41

Excellent example of a matching set of brass NCO shoulder scales. These type brass scales were originally adopted in the 1850’s for all branches of services. While these were intended to be worn for the protection of various blows to the shoulders by sabers and other weapons, the majority of usage was reserved for dress occasions. The upper sections, crescent & scales, are in excellent condition only having two very small dents, one located on the center dome and one on the edge of the crescent, along with some abrasions on the tops of the crescents. The obverse sides still retain most of their oil cloth sections that covers the undersides of the scales. A nice complete set.
