This pair of shoulder boards has a double thick stamped brass false embroidered border. Center rank field is of sky blue felt with much of the nap worn off. Undersides are a thin leather base wrapped in dark blue wool. Wool on back is moth eaten on one and not present on the other.
The straps exhibit the rank of Major of Infantry with false embroidered gold leaves. Overall condition is used, but good.
Each strap measures 5" long x 1 3/4" wide.
