The body of these epaulettes are covered with a woven gold cloth and outlined in heavy gold bullion with an inner border of dead bullion. Each has a raised brass clamshell outlined with two rows of dead bullion. The underside of each is lined with worn gold cloth that has separated some along the edges. One is torn under the clamshell. The anchor hook is present on each. The ends under the clamshell have numerous twisted gold bullion tassels. These are in fairly good shape and show only light wear.
