White ribbon which meas. approx. 1.50 inches wide x 6.00 inches long. Gold printing reads “REUNION 25TH REGIMENT C. V. ASSOCIATION AUGUST 26TH 1919 HARTFORD, CONN.” At the very top of the badge is a wonderful full color print of a spread-winged eagle with elongated US shield surrounded by the flags of England, France, Belgium and Italy who, along with the United States, were the victorious Allied Powers in World War One which had just ended.

The ribbon is folded over at the top with a pin still attached on the back. Overall the ribbon is very nice and very colorful.

The 25th Connecticut was recruited in Hartford and Tolland Counties in the fall of 1862 to serve 9 months. The regiment was sent to Louisiana where it was assigned to the 19th Corps. The regiment saw action at the Bayou Montecino, Irish Bend, Vermillionville, Port Hudson and Donaldsonville. They were mustered out August 26, 1863. During its service the regiment lost 147 men killed, wounded and captured.
