The very top of this badge is a riband that reads “LOS ANGELES, CA. 1912” surmounted by a walking bear. Below the riband are two flowers flanking the California state seal. The drop consists of crossed US flags at bottom above which is a GAR seal surrounded by “GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC VETERAN 1861-1865.” Below the GAR seal but above the flags is a riband with “46TH NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT GAR.”
Reverse of the top bar has the original pin while the back of the drop is stamped “OFFICIAL SOUVENIR BADGE.”
